New Products & Services Elgi launches new air compressor Our Bureau
COIMBATORE, March 22 ELGI Equipment has launched a new-generation air compressor called `Vayu' . Designed and developed in-house, Vayu, unlike the earlier versions, is much smaller and portable and is available from 0.75 HP to 2 HP, with one year replacement warranty. Weighing lighter than any other compressor, Vayu's die-cast body is built of durable aluminium with cast iron sleeves precision-honed for low wear. Company sources say that the motor is built to withstand voltage fluctuations from 185 to 250 volts. Other distinguishing features include reed valve for low noise and handle with rubber grip for easy mobility. The compressor can be used for vulcanising tyres, spray painting and as a pneumatic tool in cycle shops, garages, small machine shops and fabrication workshops.
