Vijaya Bank to get a facelift

Our Bureau

COIMBATORE, Dec. 30

IF you had not noticed yet, you will, may be in the next fortnight see the accomplishment of the `image projection' exercise resorted to by Vijaya Bank.

The logo associated with the bank has not changed, but made more visible, by adding colour to it. That is not all.

Following directions from above, new sign boards are to be erected at all the branches and offices of the bank. Prominent branches in district headquarters and those in metropolitan cities are being provided neon sign boards in the place of the existing ones, while other branches would have the approved colour combinations on the regular boards. The race for completing the task has begun as the deadline has been fixed for January 10.

Such dressing has not been restricted to outward appearance. The branches have been advised to utilise the space properly and give a facelift to the premises by either repairing furniture or disposing of unserviceable ones after obtaining permission from competent authorities, destroying old records as per the guidelines issued by the head office.

The entire cleaning up process is expected to be complete and a certificate of compliance to this effect is to be submitted by the regional heads.

The gloss is not restricted to sign boards and interiors. A dress code has also been specified for the managerial cadre.

Their visiting cards will carry the bank's logo in the approved colour combination and will have a uniform format.
