AEC meet in New Delhi

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, March 6

POLICYMAKERS and scholars from major countries of Asia are to congregate here on March 10-11 for an international conference.

The conference will present a case for an Asian Economic Community (AEC), that would be broader in coverage than the current programmes for economic co-operation in regions such as East Asia, South Asia and Central Asia.

The international conference would provide a vision and framework for the AEC, the Director General of Delhi-based think- tank Research and Information System (RIS) for the Non-aligned and other developing countries, Dr Nagesh Kumar, told Business Line here.
