Samsung plans roadshows for products

HYDERABAD, March 7

TARGETING a sales turnover of Rs 200 crore in Andhra Pradesh in the year 2003 up from Rs100 crore last year, Samsung India Electronics Ltd has lined up a series of `Dream Home' road shows across the State to showcase its complete range of products, including digital technology range to create awareness in tier two cities.

These shows are planned to be held at Tirupati, Ongole, Bhimavaram this month.

The four-day roadshows in each of these locations will showcase the company's plasma display panel, digital flat televisions, home theatre systems, DVD players, mobile phones and other home appliances, according to a Samsung communiqué.

The Director of Samsung India, Mr R.Zutshi, in a statement said that the dream home road Shows are a part of our overall strategy to strengthen our brand position in Andhra Pradesh. We will also be enhancing our visibility by having a mobile van carrying Samsung products to rural markets.

The company also plan to enhance its visibility in Andhra Pradesh by setting up three more Samsung Digitall Homes in the State, in addition to the existing such facilities in Hyderabad.

Mr.M.Selvaraj, Branch Manager, Samsung India, said we are expecting to notch up 100 per cent growth in AP this year.
