People Tognatta joins Singer India Richa Mishra
NEW DELHLI, March 15 MR Pradeep Tognatta, who was Vice-President (Sales & Marketing), LG Electronics India, has joined the global retailer of sewing products, Singer India Ltd, as its Executive Director (Sales & Marketing). The consumer electronics and durables industry, over the last three months, witnessed major top-level management movements including that of Mr Tognatta. After working in LG for five years in various capacities, he had decided to leave the organisation in February this year. There had been speculation about which company he would join. With Mr Tognatta's induction on March 10, Singer is expecting to aggressively forge ahead with its brand extension plans, according to company officials. Commenting on the brand extension plan, they said that the modalities were being worked out. Products vary from sewing machines to furniture, electronics, and household items. Singer's distribution network spans over 150 countries. This network comprises over 1,300 retail stores operated by the company and its affiliates.
