Bank credit moves up by Rs 9,570 cr

MUMBAI, March 15

BANK credit has registered an increase of Rs 9,570 crore during the fortnight ended February 28, to touch Rs 7,13,657 crore. This is inclusive of food credit at Rs 50,160 crore and non-food credit at Rs 6,63,497 crore.

Loans and advances to State Governments in the form of ways and means increased by Rs 1,917 crore for the week ended March 7, to touch Rs 6,070 crore.
