Corporates pitch in to cheer cricket team

HYDERABAD, March 20

THE Lanco Group in association with Andhra Bank, United India Insurance and Thumps Up are arranging a facility to view the live telecast of the World Cup Cricket final at the recently constructed GMC Balayogi Stadium at Gachi Bowli near here.

The event titled, the Cricket Mahasangram, will host 30,000 people and the entry for the live telecast will be free and is aimed at encouraging the spirit of the sport and openness. The event is set to build into what the sponsors call `Desh ki Ichha kar Do Saccha'. The show will involve real-life settings with all the excitement thrown in to keep the cheer-leaders involved throughout the entire event.

The unique giant 35 feet by 40 feet screen display will provide idyllic setting for cricket fans. In addition, over 100 colour TVs sets have been installed all around the stadium galleries. While a troupe of over 200 folk performers to enliven the evening, the event will be flagged off at a rally from Necklace Road and cover Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The event is managed by Rhythm Media Works.
