Credit Policy on April 29

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India will announce the Monetary and Credit Policy for 2003-04 on April 29.

Though apprehensions of war have led the interest rates to show signs of hardening, the RBI is expected to continue its soft interest rate bias.

Bankers bet on a quarter basis point cut in the Bank Rate and CRR in keeping with the RBI stance of softer interest rates.
