Be ready for challenges, IIMC graduates told

Our Bureau

KOLKATA, March 20

THE Director-General of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr Tarun Das, urged the students of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) to be prepared to face the new challenges which will come along with the growth opportunities at every step.

Delivering the 38th annual convocation address of the institute, he said: "These are tough times the world over plagued by lack of growth, and growing security concerns, and you have at your disposal opportunities which we never dreamt of.'' He told the graduates to remember always that they were the best in the world at whatever they do.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Y.C. Deveshwar, Chairman of the Board of Governers of IIMC, reminded the students that their learning was not really over but would perhaps begin the moment they step out beyond the institute.
