Handcuff protest

Greenpeace members staging a protest against Bt cotton by handcuffing themselves to a ladder and first floor grills of Monsanto office in Bangalore on Wednesday. They demanded compensation to the farmers over the alleged failure of Bt cotton. The protestors were later arrested by the police. Monsanto is the only firm in the country to be permitted to sell Bt cotton seeds.
