Rubber Rubber prices rule weak Our Correspondent
KOTTAYAM, April 14 RUBBER prices continued to rule weak on Monday in the absence of buyers, as most of them were reluctant to make any purchase. Sellers also appeared to be not very keen on disposing of their stocks. However, the absence of buyers was seen as a negative signal. The withdrawal of the buyers was attributed to the truck operators' strike. The market also appeared to be in a holiday mood. Sheet rubber RSS 4 declined to Rs 51 against Rs 51.50 per kg during the weekend. RSS 5 and ungraded rubber slipped to Rs 49 from Rs 49.50 and to Rs 48 from Rs 48.50 respectively. Block rubber ISNR 20 and latex 60 per cent ruled steady at Rs 49 and Rs 38 per kg.
