O&M Delhi bags 7 nominations for One Show awards

NEW DELHI, April 14

IF it is awards season, can ad agency Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) not be in the news?

This time round, it's for The One Show advertising awards, to be held in New York next month, for which O&M is making news. Interestingly, it is O&M, Delhi, and not the agency's much-applauded Mumbai branch, has bagged seven nominations for The One Show.

The nominated entries from O&M include a campaign for Hope (Human Organ Procurement & Education Trust), in the `outdoor and poster' category, created by Mr V. Sunil, Creative Director. The campaign blends the messages of organ donation with communal harmony. O&M has also got two nominations for an entry titled Loser's Archive, in the self-promotion and design categories. Created by Mr Prasad Raghavan and Mr Emmanuel Upputuru of O&M, Delhi, Loser's Archive is a take-off on the creative showcase magazine, Archive.

Other O&M entries nominated for The One Show awards include a poster campaign for Dr Morepen's laxative Isabgol, for Business World magazine in the direct marketing category, for Midlands - a Delhi-based bookstore, and two nominations in the self-promotion category.

The One Club, founded in 1975, has about 1,000 members including copywriters and art directors. The One Show advertising awards, hosted by The One Club, acknowledge excellence in art direction and copywriting across categories such as television, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards and public service announcements. The awards give away gold and silver `pencils' as recognition for excellence in advertising.
