Retailing Raymond brings `Be:' to Hyderabad Our Bureau

HYDERABAD, May 10 AIMING to cash in on the booming cosmopolitan life styles and rising spending levels in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad , Raymond Ltd, a textile and apparel business major, has opened its exclusive Shoppe - `Be:' - showcasing its prêt-a-porter clothing. Inaugurating the Be: showroom, the eighth in the country, the Be: Executive Director, Mr Aniruddha Deshmukh, told newspersons here on Saturday that ringing in the summer in style, the showroom also unveiled the season's fresh new `Spring Summer Collection 2003'. Stating that Raymond has pioneered the concept of corporatisation of designer wear in the country, he said Be: was set up with an objective of bringing eminent designers under one roof and help them with professional management, marketing and distribution, allowing them to cater to larger sections of society and drive volumes for sustained growth. The showroom houses designs of some of the finest Indian designers such as Anshu Sen, Ashish and Smita Soni, Krishna Mehta, Manish Arora, Priyadarshini Rao, Puja Nayyar, Raghavendra Rathore, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal, Vidhi Singhania and the recent addition of Savio Jon. The Raymond Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Gautam Singhania, said in a press release: " We believe that we have set the pace for growth of the Pret industry in India and are happy to set up our own shop in Hyderabad, a city knows for its rich history and culture with monuments."
