Rlys moves 44 mt cargo in April

NEW DELHI, May 27

THE Railways transported 43.77 million tonnes of revenue earning goods traffic in April compared to 40.17 million tonnes in the corresponding month of last year.

The figure was higher than the target for the first month of the financial year by 0.92 million tonnes. The full-year target for 2003-04 is 540 million tonnes, an official release said here on Monday.
