Lufthansa plans two more Bangalore flights

NEW DELHI, May 27

TAKING advantage of the extension of the `open sky' policy announced by the Indian Government, German airlines, Lufthansa, today announced that it would operate two additional flights between Bangalore and Frankfurt.

In a statement, the airline said two additional flights each week on the sector would be operated for a month beginning June 1. The flight, LH 755, from Bangalore to Frankfurt, will operate daily except for on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The flight will leave Bangalore at 1.50 a.m. and arrive in Frankfurt at 8.10 a.m.

In the return direction, the flight will leave Frankfurt at 11.15 a.m. and arrive in Bangalore at 11.59 p.m. on all days except Wednesdays and Fridays.

With the addition of these two weekly flights, Lufthansa will offer a total of 25 weekly flights to and from India.

The airline is to operate an Airbus A340-300 aircraft offering eight seats in first class.
