Majoris founder unveils plans

BANGALORE, Feb. 25
MR. B.V. Venkatesh, one of the pioneers of the Indian IT industry, on Friday unveiled Majoris Systems Pvt Ltd, a firm he recently co-founded along with five other senior executives from across the IT world.
With its corporate office and development centre in Bangalore to begin with, Majoris will offer global clients software development services and customer relationship management in the areas of e-commerce, data mining and data warehousing.
Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Mr. Venkatesh said, ``With a capitalisation of Rs. 17.5 crores in hand, Majoris will focus on telecom, healthcare, financial services and banking and supply chain management domains. We hope to achieve a turnov
er of Rs. 70 crores and an employee strength of 450 engineers within three years of operation.''
The strength of Majoris lies in the fact that the company has at its inception a solid management base with experience in handling marketing, technology, quality processes and operations, said the former managing director of BFL Software. The promoters h
old a majority stake in the company while a group of angel investors led by the Bhansalis have picked up a minority stake, Mr. Venkatesh added.
Apart from Mr. Venkatesh, the founder team of Majoris includes Mr. Sadashivam (formerly COO, Wipro), Mr. Agiwal (formerly General Manager, BFL Software), Mr. Rana Kumble (formerly with NEC, Australia), Mrs. Sujatha Balakrishnan (formerly General Manager,
Quality, BFL Software) and Mr. Nagabhushan (formerly associate general manager, technical, BFL Software).
