Infotech moves up

LYONS RANGE

INFOTECH shares moved up on Lyons Range on a day when the CSE-40 closed at 2377.99, up from 2369.13, and the CSE-50 settled at 126.15, down from the previous close of 127.90.

Investors logged on to software and media/entertainment stocks aggressively. The big-turnover counters in the specified section were led by Himachal Futuristic, the company that announced its tie-up with Kerry Packer of Australia.

Other movers included Satyam Computer, DSQ Software and Zee Telefilms. Gainers included Silverline (Rs. 1,246.30), Global Tele (Rs. 3,040.20) and Sterlite (Rs. 1,065.90). Losers in this section included BSES, Hindalco, ICICI and Indo Gulf Corporation. _ Our Bureau
