Global cargo rates on `Vortal'

THE city-based Maritimei Dot Com Pvt Ltd, which launched the world's first-of-its-kind information and e-biz ``Vortal'' (vertical portal), www.maritimei.com, for the shipping industry last December, has announced the introduction of air cargo rates, truc k haulage rates, sea container rates in over 200 cities on their site with immediate effect.

Exporters and Importers, Transportation Companies, C & F agents, Logistic Companies can avail the facility of getting rates on air cargo, truck haulage and container rates online. These rates are quoted in Indian rupees per kg and the indicative prices i n dollars.

Mr. Dinesh Puri, Chairman of the company, said `maritimei.com' is the only site which has this facility, covering all the major ports and cities in the country and over 200 cities worldwide. These rates serve as reference points to companies wanting to import or export cargoes and while dealing with C & F agents.

Based on the rates, one can get in touch with either the company directly or enquiries can be generated to Maritimei, who in turn will work out the necessary logistics through their affiliates. So far, these rates were available only with the respective companies.

Apart from these, the global courier rates for various weights from the country to over 100 cities throughout the world are also available on line.
