Oracle, NIIT forge alliance

NEW DELHI, March 7
Oracle Software India Ltd and NIIT Ltd have forged an alliance to offer comprehensive training on Oracle technologies.
Under an agreement signed between the two partners, Indian participants would get quality training on the latest Oracle technologies in eight cities, NIIT said in a statement here.
As part of the partnership, NIIT would be the exclusive training partner of Oracle8i, the statement said.
``Due to the wide acceptance of Oracle technologies, there is a tremendous demand for education on Oracle products today. NIIT, with its reach and capability to provide learning solutions, is extremely well positioned to deliver quality education on Orac
le products across India,'' Mr. Shekhar Dasgupta, Country Manager of Oracle India, said.
NIIT's leading edge IT training programme, Curriculum for Advanced Technology Studies (CATS), will be providing 160 hours in Oracle. The training will be given in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.
NIIT will also offer testing and certification facilities to the learners who successfully complete their training. Using these facilities, learners will have the opportunities to quality as the Oracle Certified Application Developer.
