Tata Infomedia to issue 1:2 bonus

MUMBAI, June 25

THE board of Tata Infomedia Ltd has recommended a bonus issue of one share for every two held.

Tata Infomedia has reported a net profit of Rs 11.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2001 as compared to Rs 10.5 crore in the previous year.

The board has recommended a dividend of 70 per cent.

Net sales for the full year was Rs 111.58 crore (Rs 99.62 crore). Other income was Rs 8.1 crore (Rs 5.97 crore). Total expenditure was Rs 91.65 crore (Rs 81.86 crore).

Interest for the year was Rs 0.4 crore (Rs 0.24 crore), depreciation Rs 5.7 crore (Rs 5.46 crore). Taxation was Rs 8.1 crore (Rs 5.3 crore).

Following the bonus issue, the paid-up share capital of the company will increase to Rs 11.44 crore.
