Plea against UTI dismissed

MUMBAI, Aug. 10
A PUBLIC interest litigation filed in the Bombay High Court against the suspension of UTI's repurchase facility for US-64 has been dismissed as withdrawn by the petitioner.
According to UTI, the PIL was withdrawn as "the petitioner could not establish, before the court, the locus standi and the purpose for which the petition was filed''.
The PIL was filed by Mr Pradeep Bhavnani, President of the National Association of Small Investors.
