Dr Reddy's launches generic version of proscar tabs

HYDERABAD: Pharma major Dr Reddy's Laboratories on Saturday announced that it has launched the authorised generic version of Merck's Proscar tablets 5 mg (Finasteride) on June 19.

The company has also launched the authorised generic version of Merck's Zocor tablets (Simvastatin) 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg yesterday, a company release said.

In January this year, it has entered into separate agreements with Merck that enabled it to launch the authorised generic versions of Proscar tablets (Finasteride) and Zocor tablets (Simvastatin).

The specific financial terms and conditions of the agreement have not been disclosed. PTI
