Feb. 5: Tata Motors signs a technology licensing agreement with Moteur Developpment International of France for co-developing and applying the latter’s innovative technology for engines powered by compressed air.

Feb. 6: Larsen & Toubro Ltd launches a ready-mix concrete plant with a production capacity of 2,000 cubic metres per day in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

Feb. 7: Zenotech Laboratories Ltd on Wednesday announced an agreement with Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd for the development and marketing of its first biosimilar product G-CSF (Filgrastim).

Feb. 9: Coimbatore-based Revathi Equipment Ltd acquires a Bangalore-based engineering design solutions company Potential Service Consultants for Rs 30 crore.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Russia’s Gazprom agree to jointly explore oil and gas fields in India, Russia and third countries.

Raytheon Company signs a memorandum of intent with Tata Power’s Strategic Electronics Division to seek collaboration in areas of complementary expertise and experience.

Feb. 12: Daewoo plant assets to be sold for Rs 765 cr to Crosslinks, a company jointly promoted by former Hyundai Motor India President Mr B.V.R. Subbu and Mr Ajay Singh, one of the promoters of SpiceJet Airlines.

GHCL acquires US co Best Manufacturing for $35 m

The Singapore-based Essar Steel Vietnam Holdings Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Essar Steel, signs a joint venture agreement with Vietnam Steel Corporation and Vietnam General Rubber Corporation to form a joint stock company.

Feb. 13: Prince Stone Investments Ltd, the Mauritius-based holding company of Lanco Infratech Ltd, and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd together acquire 100 per cent of the equity holding of Globeleq Ltd in Globeleq Singapore.

Feb. 14: Tata Motors and Fiat S.p.A, Italy sign an agreement that provides for a Tata licence to build a pick-up vehicle at Fiat’s plant in Córdoba, Argentina. The vehicle will bear the Fiat nameplate.

GAIL (India) Ltd launches `e-tendering’ facility, which enables on-line submission of technical bids and price bids in standard format/templates. The platform provides for digitally signed tender and bid documents for user authentication and has facility for vendors to upload queries

Feb. 23: The US District Court of New Jersey rules in favour of Japanese company, Astellas Pharma. on its generic version of Flomax prostate drug. Ranbaxy loses the case.

Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd acquires 70 per cent stake in UK based-DPJ Clothing Ltd for $2.9 million (Rs 13.30 crore).

Feb. 24: Reliance Industries Ltd says it will ramp up its gas production capacity from 40 to 80 million standard cubic metres per day at the Krishna-Godavari basin.

Feb. 26: The conversion price for the 12-crore preferential warrants in Reliance Industries to be issued to promoters fixed at Rs 1,402 per share.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Renault and Nissan announces a joint venture to produce cars at a new plant near Chennai, at an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.

Feb. 27: Holcim increases its stake in Ambuja Cement India Ltd to 78 per cent, buying an additional 11 per cent stake from Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd.

Hindustan Motors Ltd enters into an arrangement with Shriram Properties Ltd of Bangalore for the development of an integrated IT township and an auto park in 314 acres of land specifically identified for the purpose at Uttarpara.
