July 1: The National Multi-Commodity Exchange reduces the limit on daily price fluctuation in all rubber futures contracts traded on its terminals to two per cent on either side.

July 4: The State Trading Corporation’s second 10-lakh tonne (lt) wheat import tender for the current fiscal attracts seven bidders.

July 11: The Centre for Sustainable Agriculture asks the Andhra Pradesh Government not to allow field trials in GM (genetically modified) crops.

July 15: Neither Tata Tea nor Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company Pvt Ltd, in which Tata Tea has an 18 per cent stake, has encroached on Government land in Munnar in Kerala, says Mr Percy Siganporia, Managing Director, Tata Tea Ltd.

July 16: Singapore-based private equity firm Bring Pvt Equity Asia picks up 7.5 per cent stake in BSE-listed KS Oils by investing Rs 90 crore.

July 17: Tata Coffee reports a 48-per-cent drop in its net profits.

July 23: The Centre resorts to yet another round of tariff cuts on imported edible oils.

July 27: The Agriculture Ministry notifies "Improved Pusa Basmati-1" in a move to popularise this evolved variety for export and augmenting farmers’ income.
