Electrical goods maker Arise India has entered the LED television segment. The company on Thursday launched eight LED TV models and roped in Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha for the launch.
Avinash Jain, Managing Director, Arise India, said with consumers moving to LED TVs, there was a huge opportunity, especially in the tier 2 and tier 3 towns.
The company plans to play on competitive pricing with its cheapest 16-inch LED TV priced at Rs 7,490 while the 50-inch TV is priced at Rs 79,990. The company will be targeting north , including Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the first phase and expand to Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Orissa by September this year. “We are targeting revenues of Rs 100 crore in the first financial year,” said. Arise India is into electrical geysers, pumps, fans, induction cookers, mixer grinders and air-conditioners.
