Canara Bank, which has set a target to disburse ₹150 crore under warehousing receipts, has entered into a strategic partnership with Star Agri-Warehousing and Collateral Management Ltd (StarAgri).
The partnership is to assist farmers in financing their requirements at all stages of the supply chain, ranging from pre-harvesting to the marketing and export stages.
Speaking after signing the strategic partnership with Canara Bank, Amith Agrawal, Director Star Agri-warehousing and Collateral Management Ltd, said: “We have assured the bank to take its assistance in extending at least ₹150 crore under warehouse receipts by March 2014.”
