Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest hotel groups, today announced the promotion of K B Kachru to chairman of the hotel group in South Asia and the appointment of Raj Rana succeeding him as the Chief Executive Officer.
Kachru and Rana will both report directly to Simon C Barlow, President - Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel group, who is based in Singapore, a company statement said here.
The changes will take effect on July 1.
In his new role as chairman, Kachru will continue to drive the growth of the company’s hotels in South Asia, as well as mentor Rana in his new role as chief executive officer.
“K B (Kachru) is the founder of Carlson Rezidor’s hotel business in India and has been instrumental in building the company in India over the past 15 years,” Barlow said.
The portfolio of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group includes more than 1,300 hotels, a global footprint spanning 83 countries and territories, with well-known global brands like Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Country Inns & Suites by CarlsonSM and Hotel Missoni.
