Century Plyboards (India) Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 39.69 crore during the first quarter to June 30, 2015 against a net profit of Rs 25.72 crore in the corresponding quarter in the last financial year.
Sequentially, the net profit declined. In the fourth quarter of 2014-15, the company had recorded a net profit of Rs 47.97 crore.
During the first quarter, the company said it formed a step down subsidiary in Indonesia. This is for setting up a timber-processing unit in the South East Asian Country. Century Plyboards has already set up timber processing units in Mayanmar and Laos.
Meanwhile, Century Plyboards announced that it has launched a TV commercial for its Rs 200 crore economy-segment sub-brand Sainik Plywood.
