‘CRI Pumps’ belonging to CRI Pumps Private Ltd, Coimbatore, has been selected for the Brand Coimbatore Ambassador award.

While the ‘Crusoe’ brand owned by Jagannath Textile Co. Ltd has been selected for the ‘Best Emerging Brand’ award, the ‘Iconic Brand Award’ has gone to the Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (CBE) Ltd.

In a release, R R Balasundharam, President-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Coimbatore, and N Krishnakumar, President-Advertising Club, Coimbatore, said the awards were introduced with a view to recognising brands that were successful in the national/international markets and which in that process contributed to promoting Brand Coimbatore. The two organisations, along with the PSG group of institutions as institutional partner, had come together to institute these awards.

There were specific criteria for each of these awards and the winners were chosen by a panel of judges after extensive discussions. The awards would be presented on March 22 at a function in which V R Muthu, Chairman of Idhayam Group of Companies, Virudhunagar, would be the chief guest, the release added.
