Danone India has decided to launch its greek yoghurt in India. The company had earlier in the year said it will be launching several new products as it focuses to double its India business by 2020. The company has launched the greek yoghurt in top cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, where the company has fresh dairy presence. In a statement, Rodrigo Lima, MD, Danone India, said: “We will leverage our global expertise in yoghurts to build the category in India and establish the relevance for the category through the right product innovation. The dairy division is poised for a healthy growth with new product offerings.” Manjari Upadhye, Country Manager, Danone Dairy, added, “Greek yoghurt signifies the emergence of a new category of yoghurt in India” Danone Greek Yogurt is priced at ₹35 for a 80-gm pack.
