The 20-year-old engineering services company Infotech Enterprises today acquired a new name Cyient. The company has been contemplating to change its name, keeping in view the generic nature of the name.
The board of the company, which had finally moved a proposal two months ago, has received nod from the shareholders through a postal ballot.
The company is planning a global marketing campaign to announce the name change to its clients and other stakeholders.
Management revamp
To mark the name change, the company announced a major management revamp. Krishna Bodanapu, son of Infotech's Founder-Chairman B V R Mohan Reddy, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer. The founder would now act as the Executive Chairman.
