Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today laid the foundation stone of the 144-keys upscale hospitality project ‘My Fortune’ in Guntur to be developed by the diversified ITC Group.

The hotel, whose foundation was laid in the presence of YC Deveshwar, Chairman, ITC, is expected to commence operations in 2019. It is aimed at attracting business travellers and provide Guntur a top-end hospitality destination.

Located on the Ring Road, the hotel will come up on a 1.44 acre site and cater to the diverse needs of discerning travellers to the city. The hotel will have a 5000 sq. ft. pillar-less ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests, an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant showcasing ITC’s culinary excellence, a bar and a deli.

The hotel will be part of the ‘My Fortune’ exclusive brand which is positioned in the upscale segment, at the top end of the brand pyramid of Fortune, according to a statement from ITC.

Guntur has gained strategic importance as it is located within the intended capital region of the new state of Andhra Pradesh. The proposed new airport located 15 km from Guntur will make the hotel easily accessible.
