City gas distributor Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) has reported a 10.28 per cent increase in its net profit to ₹ 102.25 crore for the September quarter, compared to ₹ 92.73 crore for the June quarter.
The company recorded overall volume growth of 4.04 per cent, consisting of a growth of 5.13 per cent in its CNG volumes and a 5.35 per cent growth in PNG volumes. The EBITDA margin has improved to 31.01 per cent as compared with 31.51 per cent in the previous quarter, according to a stock exchange filings.
Revenue from sales was ₹518.06 crore as compared with ₹480.01 crore during the previous quarter, mainly due to high customer addition. The stock closed up 0.24 per cent to ₹ 773.85 on the BSE on Tuesday.
