Fashion retailer Megamart, a brand from Arvind Textiles, is launching the country’s first online reality show for designers titled ‘Megamart Fashion Designer of the Year’, to unearth the country’s next superstar fashion designer.
Exclusive to the Web, the online show is being produced by Pepper Media and will be showcased on YouTube. The goal is to hunt for India’s next top designer focusing on metros such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
“It is the first such search for India’s next designer,” said K E Venkatachalapathy, CEO of Megamart. “This is an excellent opportunity for upcoming designers to showcase their talent.”
The contest will run for 12 weeks, where a distinguished panel of judges, comprising of the industry’s finest talent, will shortlist the entries.
“This is the future of branded content. We are bringing together content creators and brands to create compelling content that is guaranteed to deliver higher engagement with the target audience,” says Radhakrishnan Ramachandran, Founder & CEO of Pepper Media.
