Drug firm Merck Ltd today said its whole time directors Brijesh Kapil and Ali Sleiman have resigned from the board.
Recently, Merck implemented certain organisational changes which impacted the roles and responsibilities of the two whole-time directors, Merck said in a BSE filing.
“As such Kapil and Sleiman have expressed their inability to continue as directors on the board and have tendered their resignation effective from October 4, 2016,” it added.
Additionally, Merck KGaA, Germany, the company’s ultimate holding company, has changed the nomination of non-executive director Bradley Simpson on the Board and has appointed Zoe Tang, Regional CFO Central Asia, in his place, it said.
Shares of Merck were trading 0.32 per cent down at Rs 708.30 on the BSE.
