Rallis India Ltd’s December quarter performance has been impacted by lower rabi acreages and reduced interest among farmers due to lower kharif output and bearish commodity prices.
Rallis, a Tata Enterprise, reported a net profit of ₹33 crore for the December quarter, a decline of about six per cent over the corresponding last quarter's ₹35 crore. Sales for the quarter were down by six per cent at ₹350 crore against corresponding last quarter's ₹374 crore.
The Rallis scrip ended 5.23 per cent lower at ₹216.70 on the BSE on Wednesday.
