Infrastructure firm RPP Infra Projects has bagged two contracts from Chennai Corporation worth Rs 728 million (Rs 72.8 crore) for developing storm water drain projects.
The contracts are for Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project — Integrated Storm Water Drain funded by World Bank for constructing storm water drain at Cooum watershed in Cooum basin for Rs 39.5 crore, while the second project is for Rs 33.3 crore, a company statement said.
Tenure of the project is 24 months, it said.
“We are happy that the revenues and profit of our company will touch new heights in the coming years”, the RPP Infra Projects, Chairman and Managing Director, Arul Sundaram, said.
The company had recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chinese state-owned construction company Hunan Engineering Construction Group, the statement said.
