Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) today said S K Acharya has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the company with effect from today.
Prior to this, Acharya served in NLC as Director (Human Resource).
“S K Acharya, Director (Human Resource) has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company w.e.f. October 1, 2015,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
B Surender Mohan relinquished as Chairman and Managing Director of the company on September 30, 2015 on superannuation, it added.
Acharya has a rich and varied experience of over 35 years of working in BHEL, NTPC, NTPC—SAIL Power Company, according to NLC website.
Acharya hails from Odisha and had his studies in institutions like Ravenshaw College and Utkal University, Odisha.
