Steel Authority of India Ltd is going to offer differentiated products in the market, while focussing on value along with volume, according to a company statement.
During an interaction with employees at SAIL’s Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), Chairman, PK Singh said that in the prevailing stiff market competition, value addition to products and processes along with tailoring the product quality in line with market demands can be a game-changer for the company.
New railway coaches Singh said that the Railways will switch over to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in a phased manner in the next few years.
But the wheels for new LHB railway coaches are already in advanced stages of validation at SAIL’s Durgapur Steel Plant and the metallurgical testing of the wheels has already been completed.
