Santosh Vellanki has been appointed the head of talent acquisition and young talent management of UPL, the $2.5-billion agrochemical giant.
Vellanki will also lead as HR business partner for all corporate functions. He will report to the Group CHRO Jayaram Philkana, and will be based out of Mumbai. UPL Group has over 30 manufacturing facilities and market presence in more than 130 countries.
Prior to this, he worked as general manager, people consulting task force, corporate HR at RIL. A computer engineering graudate, MBA and Masters in communication and journalism, Vellanki has also worked in Tata Motors.
UPL provides crop protection solutions. The firm is engaged in the business of agrochemicals, industrial chemicals, chemical intermediates and specialty chemicals.
