Shivam Autotech, one of the largest producers of transmission gears and shafts in the country, has invested Rs 250 crore in its fourth plant. It will produce auto parts for the four-wheeler industry. The company expects to employ about 1,000 people.
The new plant will be inaugurated by the Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, tomorrow.
The factory has imported new machinery from Germany and Japan to manufacture claw poles. This plant will cater to the requirements of companies like Bosch and Mando and will make components for alternators, starter motors, electronic steering systems, etc.
