Multi-business company SRF Ltd has reported a 6.1 per cent increase in net profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2015-16 at ₹105.54 crore.
In the same quarter last year, the company had a net profit of ₹ 99.47 crore.
The company reported a 2.6 per cent increase in net revenues at ₹ 967.08 crore against ₹ 942.09 crore.
The board also approved an interim dividend at 50 per cent amounting to ₹5 per share.
“Given the sluggish economic environment, the company has performed better than our expectations. We will continue to pursue our strategy of enhancing our technological capabilities in all businesses and improving profitability through our internal efficiencies and exploring new opportunities in our chemicals business,” said Ashish Bharat Ram, Managing Director.
The board approved three separate capex proposals aggregating ₹394 crore.
On Thursday, the company’s shares closed 1.41 per cent lower on the BSE at ₹ 1,444.95.
