TVS Motor Company today launched its TVS StaR City+ in Coimbatore.

Derived from the Écothrust' engine of TVS Phoenix, the 109.7cc power mill of this new bike ensures smooth performance, power and fuel economy at 86 km/litre, say company sources.

Unveiling the bike at Taj Vivanta here, Satish Kumar, General Manager (Sales), TVS Motor Company, said that StaR City+ would be available in four combinations including Celebrity Scarlet, Oscar Black, Show Stopper Blue and Titanium Grey.

Highlighting some features of this bike, he said it comes with digital dashboard with an analogue speedometer and advanced digital display, an econometer to guide the rider to maximise fuel economy and a service indicator to indicate when the bike is due for service.

The company foresees huge opportunity in the commuter segment with the monthly sales crossing the 5.5 lakh motor bikes being sold month after month.

Óur market share in Coimbatore is around 12 per cent. We are hoping to take it to 15 per cent in a short time with the launch of this product,' Satish said.
