Volkswagen India, the Indian subsidiary of Europe’s largest carmaker, launched its hatchback Cross Polo in the country on Thursday.
The new Cross Polo, rolled out with a 1.2-litre TDI engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, is priced at Rs 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the company said in a statement.
“The Polo is an important car line in the Indian portfolio and with ongoing updates we keep it relevant and exciting for our customers. The Cross Polo has been created for those looking at a premium hatchback in a sporty crossover style,” Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, (Volkswagen Passenger Cars) Volkswagen Group Sales India, said.
The vehicle would be available for sales from August 23.
