Nestle India Ltd on Thursday said it has received the notice from the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. “The company shall appropriately respond,” it said in a BSE filing. The NCDRC had admitted the Centre’s complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, against the company, seeking about ₹640 crore in damages for alleged unfair trade practices and sale of defective goods.
