Smartchem Technologies Limited, a subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, said its ‘next generation of innovative’ NPK complex fertilisers sold under Mahadhan Smartek brand are getting positive response from the farming community.
Smartchem had launched organic compound coated NPK complexes, Mahadhan Smartek, in the last rabi season and had sold about 35,000 tonnes mainly in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
In the ongoing kharif season, the company expects to sell about 1.5 lakh tonnes as it has launched the Mahadhan Smartek grades 10:10:26 and 12:32:16 in Karnataka, Telanagana and Andhra Pradesh, said Arvind Kulkarni, Executive Vice President – Crop Nutrition Business, Smartchem. The Smartek fertilisers are priced higher by ₹50 for a 50-kg bag over the conventional fertilisers.
