The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) disbursed ₹8,200 crore as monthly pension and ₹47,630 crore as member benefits in 2015-16.
The retirement fund body, however, said while seeding data, a mismatch between EPF and Aadhaar data in respect of date of birth and name of pensioner was noticed in certain cases. It has, therefore, advised members to either correct their details provided to EPFO offices or those given in Aadhaar, whichever is correct.
In a release on Friday, the retirement fund body also noted that a number of online transfer applications by members were pending with employers for attestation and verification of member details. It has asked its field offices to take up the matter on priority with employers.
With regard to compliance, EPFO said the process of digitising the reporting system was on.
“It is expected that reporting in compliance area shall be online and real time by the second quarter of this financial year,” the release added.
