Jindal ITF, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jindal SAW Ltd, and Sula Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd has set up a project driven partnership. The partnership is expected to increase the efficiency of the NTPC-Farakka waterways project.
Sula Logistics is responsible for transshipment and barging of coal at Sandheads for the Farakka transshipment project.
The NTPC-Farakka project will deliver imported coal to Farakka through the barges.
According to a release issued by Jindal ITF, the project is set to deliver 3 million tones of coal to Farakka via the River Hooghly.
Operations under the new partnership will be led by Capt. Shrikant Chandra - COO and Country Manager of SULA.
