Airtel will be launching a 4G VoLTE phone costing less than Rs 2,000. The phone will come with bundled data and voice calling an is likely to be launched before Deepawali.
The 4G VoLTE phone is Airtel's answer to Jio's feature phone.
Industry sources said that unlike Jio's phone that runs on custom OS that restricts installation of some apps (like WhatsApp), Airtel's phone will provide normal smartphone experience as it runs on Android.
The phone is likely to have a 4 inch screen, 1 GB RAM, 1600 mAh battery and front and back cameras.
