Crude oil futures prices today fell by 0.42 per cent to Rs 5,969 per barrel, as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in December fell by Rs 25, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 5,969 per barrel in 252 lots.
Similarly, the oil for November delivery moved down by Rs 23, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 5,880 per barrel in 1,263 lots.
